ANNOUNCEMENT: As of April 27, 2011, there will no longer be any support, upgrades, or enhancements for the free JVP Periodic Table. I have given away several thousand copies of different versions of this since 2004, and I no longer have any time to give updates or upgrades, so support will stop. Thank you for all the downloads and attention since 2004, but this web page will be static from now on. Downloads will still be available and free. |

The JVP_v4 Periodic Table does not contain any advertising.
No Adware, No Spyware, No Virus.
Please, use the automatic installation.
For Non-Windows Operating Systems:
I write my installer using a scripting language with NSIS,
written for the Windows Operating Systems, but the
scripting language may work on your Non-Windows Systems.
All you have to do is download the XP Installer,
and set up a path which is C:\JVP_v4\ as a root folder.
That is because the browser needs a qualified path
to the HTML element pages in the program.
In answer to a question,
if it works on VISTA it will work
on Windows 7 and Windows 8.

For XP: C:\JVP_v4
JVP_v4 has lots of information.
But, it also allows you to access all the elements by
Atomic Number, Alphabetical List, or Chemical Series group.
Included: All 109 known elements with 2,621 isotopes, half-life, isotopic mass,
radioactive decay, particles, complete decay paths and other information,
including orbitals, boiling and melting points, atomic radius, bonding radius,
chemical series, type classification, ionization, electronegativity,
and much more, with a "Fast Facts" page included with the program.
This is one of the very few periodic tables which has the isotopes and orbitals.
It includes "Page Marking", "MiniCalc" Calculator, and "EnergyCalc" Converter.
You still get a GUI format so you don't have to open a browser for HTML,
Temporary History Bar at top of page so you don't need a backspace,
Find Word or Phrase Function for a single page search,
and JVPNote is included as a bonus.
Version 4.08 Vista-Win7-Win8 and 4.09 XP are the Latest Java Versions.

History:
1. The original program was called The JVP Periodic Table of the Elements. That
program was completed from June 17, 2004, to September 13, 2004, so it was up-to-date
for 2004 to the best of my ability, version 1.0.0. I searched a lot of places for a
lot of information. 2. On February 10, 2005, a Supplement for the JVP Periodic Table was issued to allow for faster access to the elements by Atomic Number and Alphabetically on the same page. 3. JVP v2.0 was released March 21, 2005. This allows access on the same page by Atomic Number, Alphabetical Listing, and also by Chemical Series groups. 4. JVP_v3.0 Periodic Table was released April 15, 2006, as a JAVA program, eliminating the need for a browser. I added a find function, added JVPNote, and I smoothed out a few wrinkles in the old program. 5. JVP_v4 Periodic Table was released August 5, 2006, as an upgrade to add "page marking," a small calculator, automatic removal of highlights, and some cosmetic changes. 6. JVP_v4 Periodic Table (4.04) was upgraded to JAVA 6.0 January 21, 2007. 7. JVP_v4 Periodic Table (4.05) was placed on its own download platform November 13, 2007. 8. JVP_v4 Periodic Table (4.06) was upgraded and updated for the latest JAVA Platform, and I also included Background Image/Wallpaper of the Periodic Table June 15, 2008. 9. JVP_v4 Periodic Table (4.07) was upgraded, and it also included a window for energy conversions, June 24, 2008. This should be stable for quite some time, at least a year or so. 10. JVP_v4 Periodic Table Vista Edition (4.07-vista) was added July 27, 2008. 11. JVP_v4 Periodic Table (4.08-vista and 4.09-xp): Added March 20, 2009, because sequential Java Updates broke previous editions of Java after Update 6. Any update of Java newer than Java 6.0 Update 12 is okay for the JVP_v4 Periodic Table. (JVP_v5 in C# has been released for the Microsoft .NET Framework as well, see it Here). |
